Have You Chosen Your Baby’s Name?
Just the other day, I was at my daughter’s school, waiting to pick her up. I saw a woman stroll in with a small boy, who’s probably two years old. He started to play and run around like children do. But when he distanced himself a bit from his mother, I heard the mother call out to him, “John!” Now, this is what I do not understand. Who still names their son John? The name has been used redundantly and often over the years. I mean, there must be millions of Johns on earth. How can parents still go and choose this plain, tired name? It’s not that it’s bad, but it’s so common. There are so many more new born baby names to pick from. They’re all over the web as we speak.
