A Rational Manual to Decorating Your Baby Room
Pay special attention to your choice of baby bedding as you plan the design of your baby's nursery. You can nurture your baby's development within a beautiful, cheerful environment while also keeping baby comfortable through many options available. As you begin to decide on how you would like to decorate your baby's nursery you'll find that you have a lot to choose from when it comes to furniture as well as crib bedding.
Parents can choose to buy their baby's crib and linens at a discount store, or spend a lot more money at an upscale department store. Hand-me-down or gifted furniture is great, but you will have to put some effort into making sure the items meet safety regulations and haven't been part of a recall.
Ensure that the sides of your baby furniture comes down without a jolt by taking it for a test drive. Choose a crib without a side latch as you do not want to wake up your baby after you put him to sleep. Save yourself backaches from reaching and bending by arranging things to accommodate your height.
Twins can share the same crib until they are bigger. Multiple babies are comforted by having siblings nearby especially at night. You can purchase another crib after your babies become mobile.
After purchasing furniture, next you will need to buy baby bedding. Accidents in the middle of the night are bound to happen. Covering the baby mattress with an impermeable sheet will make things much easier. Babies' developing eyes need stimulation so it's a good idea to decorate the crib with patterned sheets and bumpers in bright colors. Do not worry regarding choice - there exists almost as many designs and colors to pick from as there are babies! Another option would be the organic route, also known as "green" baby bedding, however, this will be a lot more pricey than a normal cribs sets.
All baby bedding should be washed with detergent that is certified to be safe for babies, so that the baby's skin won't be irritated. It's highly unsafe to leave any additional pillows, blankets, or stuffed animals in the infant's crib, so as to avoid any possible suffocation.
