Learn How to Make Any Gift (Even the One’s You Don’t Like) Work for Someone!

Think of all the junk you’ve received (and given).  Don’t you wish there was a better way?  Well, there is a better way my friend  The answer is Gift Baskets.

In this day and age we’re lucky if we get a fruit cake, don’t count on getting gift baskets.  That’s the reason for my gift to you.

Anyone has been given a gift that is simply horrible.  You can donate it to a worthy cause, or post it on www.freecycle.com where everything donated is free to users.  You might hide the unwanted gift in a box where you will hopefully never run into it again.  Whatever you do please do not throw the gift away.

Then, there is re-gifting, a risky and often unsavory practice.  Re-gifting is never a acceptable custom.  Most importantly if the person that gave you the gift finds out.  There are numerous ways to put the gift to use, without the uncomfortable and deliberate re-wrapping and passing along.

1.  Create a “Treasure Box.”  I use a large tote.  Make sure that you put a post-it note on the item, and secure it with tape telling whom the item is from.

2. Place gifts that are of no use to you in the treasure chest.

3. It is wise to categorize all the items and place them together.

4. To give a “re-gifted” treasure, make sure you have at least 3 similar items.  For example favorite films.  Take the movies, wrap them individually, and put them in a large popcorn bowl. Include candies, chocolate, or whatever else you want to make the gift go further.  If you are giving the DVDs to an adult or family, put in a homemade gift certificate for one night of free babysitting (if they have kids).  The goal is to avoid spending too much, but make a nice gift.  Make sure that you are not giving the gift back to the person that gave it to you.

Now those not so zesty or duplicategifts you have acquired don’t need to go to waste.

We all want to make our gift giving a little easier, so might I suggest you head on over to Nectar of Life’s Coffee Gift Baskets page and have a look around?  They have plenty of them at Nectar of Life Coffee.

Going on holiday could keep the whole family fit and having fun

The media is full of horror stories about obesity and bad health in children caused by lazy lifestyles, lack of exercise or a bad diet. It might seem like we’re just being guilt tripped, like they’re trying to scare us into doing something about it but it’s a very real issue. The problem is it’s difficult to know what to do about it. Most parents would make changes if they could but are often too busy to do anything about it, or simply haven’t noticed that it could apply to their family.

It can be pretty difficult to convince children that something really is in their best interests if it’s not something they want to do, so getting them to exercise when they’d rather be playing computer games or watching TV can be like getting blood out of stone. But it’s far from being impossible. UK Family holidays at leisure resorts like TLH in Torquay offer a huge range of activities and sports for the whole family that are sure to get kids active and enjoying themselves whilst keeping fit. From swimming pools and fully equipped gyms to tennis courts to tenpin bowling and air hockey, there are loads of activities that will give the whole family a break from the TV and computers, and get you all out there having fun and keeping fit.

As well as active sports there are also lots of other activities and entertainments for all ages, including a kids club and TeenZone where children can get some time away from their parents and meet up with others their own age. While the kids are keeping themselves amused adults can relax in a spa, or take on one of the special themed breaks like golf, bowling and dancing holidays, which are sure to be great fun and help you to keep fit too.

A family holiday at a leisure resort is a brilliant way to make the most of the school summer holidays and do something that the whole family will enjoy. And the best part is that it’s not going to break the bank. Since the recession more and more families are choosing to take the ‘staycation’ option rather than travel abroad, and family destinations within the UK are more popular than ever.

Why go to Devon?

Lets be honest with the current downturn everyone is fed up with all of the town/city life and what everyone needs is a break for a few days to a nice area in which there are several things to do with the family. So go on take one of those family holidays and treat you and your family.

The one everyone has heard of, the Eden Project
This is easily the most famous attraction in Devon and one of the most famous in the country and has something for the entire family to take part in. The two gigantic biomes demonstrating the Rainforest and Mediterranean are brilliant and it is really good for learning about two massive areas of the planet. If you are a fan of music which lets be honest there are not many people who dont like listening to music then you are in luck as bands such as the Kooks play there every summer.

The coasts tour
This one really appeals to me as I love coastel creatures so I really loved going on this tour. This is brilliant as you go through a tour of all of the worlds unique coasts seeing animals and plants unique to them on the way. There are loads of animals there ranging from seals to puffins. This is brilliant for animal lovers and people who are interested in learning all about the coast.

Beaches-
The five beaches add to all of the things you can do whilst holidaying here. These brilliant beaches are as followed, Torre Abbey Sands, Oddicombe, Meadfoot, Paignton and Goodrington. Two of these five beaches have got the yellow flag award but that isnt to say the other three aren't simply amazing because they are fantastic.

So there you have it some brilliant reasons why you should pack your bags up and head to Devon when you next have a few days off. It's a place for everyone not just old couples but every member of the family will enjoy something here. If you are still not convinced why not try one of the dancing holidays or even one of the bowling holidays if that’s what you are in to. Whatever it is you choose to do it is certain you enjoy yourself.
